1. Who should take a beginner workshop?

      The baby sign language workshops are designed for parents, grandparents and caregivers who are either not able to register for the six week Baby & Me series OR whose babies are too young to benefit from the full series of classes.

2. What will we learn in a beginner workshop?

** During this 75-minute workshop, you will learn about 35 signs relative to everyday activities, participate in activities to reinforce the signs we learn, and learn at least 2 signed songs.

In addition, we will provide answers to the following questions:

• How does the use of signs effect speech and language development?

• When and how should parents start using signs with their baby?

• When can we expect our baby to produce signs?

• How do we teach signs to our baby?

All signs taught will be developmentally appropriate for your child's age and are based on American Sign Language.
